Richard trained for seven years with www.alpineeagle.co.uk who are among the finest Rolls-Royce and Bentley restorers and Coachwork specialists in the world. It was a wonderful experience and although he’s now running his own business, the two companies remain close friends and Richard continues to do work for them when the need arises.

Richard was Workshop Manager when he left, having been involved in every aspect of the restoration and trim of predominantly Pre Wars cars as well as partially rebuilding bits of mostly Post War, six cylinder models and, just as Alpine Eagle has always done everything, so does Richard. However Richard also works closely with Bob Price who has many years experience of Classic car body restoration and rust prevention, Hugh Murray who builds Ash Frames and both Aluminium and steel bodies to cover them as well as other specialist craftsmen, with the result that he can restore all or part of almost any car. The advantage for the owner is the reassurance of dealing with one person and not a disparate group of individuals who may not all have the same agenda.

Regardless of the type or make, Richard is an ideal first port of call for help and anyone is welcome at the Factory to discuss anything although a phone call is wise beforehand. If he can’t do it, he’ll say so and advise, but if he can , it’ll be very hard to find anyone who works to a higher standard or a more competitive price.
