If all the normal checks for loss of coolant prove fruitless it is advisable to carry out the following cursory check.
Run the engine up to normal operating temperature and stop the engine. Jack up and support the chassis and restart the engine. Examine the inlet and outlet water pipes where they ingress and egress from the under seat floor heater. Very often coolant drips from these pipes straight onto the exhaust silencers that are so hot as to evaporate the coolant instantaneously without leaving evidence of the leak.
Tighten the hose clips, renew them or replace the heater hoses to cure any leaks.
